The DieMark Foot Switch enables manual actuation of an “ink” signal from the inker controller to the inker to place an ink dot. The foot switch is compatible with all Pneumatic Inker Controller models and the new Electric Inker Controller. The foot switch is primarily used during manual wafer inspection processes where placement of an ink dot on a die is done manually by an operator. Foot activation leaves the operators hands free to operate microscope or wafer positioning controls without looking away from the ink dot target.
Upon activation, the foot switch sends a >20msec <1mA 2.7VDC-3.6VDC contact closure signal (across pins 1 & 3) to the controller, enabling an inking sequence.
The foot switch connects to the “FOOT SWITCH” port located on the back panel of all DieMark Pneumatic Controllers.
The foot switch connects to the “SIGNAL” port on the front panel of the DieMark Electric Inker Controller. The Electric Inker Controller also has a “SWITCH” port intended for a hand actuated switch (not available from Xandex) that can be connected at the same time as the foot switch to accommodate different opperator preferences.
